Community Service & Internship Opportunities

CEASe Scott County Opportunities: 

  • Students can volunteer to help CEASe pass out Halloween candy on the Scottsburg square on Halloween evening. If interested in this opportunity contact Lori Croasdell at [email protected]

Scott County Partnership Opportunities: 

  • Students can get involved with the Scott County Partnership by volunteering at the food pantry -The Clearinghouse. They are always looking for volunteers (15+) to assist in labeling food and organizing donations. If interested in working with The Clearinghouse contact Beth Campbell by calling The Clearinghouse at 812-752-0123. 
  • Students interested in working with younger children, elementary students, or middle school students can get involved with Conquer the CHAOS. High school students would work and spend time with younger students every Wednesday at 5:30 in Austin at Grace Covenant Church. Scott County Visitors Commission Opportunities:

  • Requirement: Junior or Senior, 2-3 days per week
    • The Scott County Visitors Commission offers an internship opportunity for students interested. Students would have the opportunity to assist with MaterFest and assist in the commissioners office. For more information contact Adrian Smallwood at 812-752-9211

CASA of Scott County Opportunities:

  • Requirement: Senior (18+) and Background Check
    • CASA of Scott County offers an internship opportunity for students interested. Students could have the opportunity to observe court sessions, practice grant writing, and assist in fundraising for CASA. CRADLE Resource Center Opportunities:

  • Any high school student can volunteer to sort donations at the CRADLE Resource Center in Scottsburg. Students can volunteer from 3-4 on Mondays, 3-5:30 on Wednesdays, or Saturdays. If interested in volunteering contact Michelle at [email protected].

  • Hardy Lake Clean Sweep: Saturday, April 27, 2019; 8:00 am-1:00 pm
