SHS Interdisciplinary Academic Team wins state runner-up

The SHS Academic Team has won five state titles in English (2012), in Science (2013), and in Social Studies (2014 & 2015), Interdisciplinary (2016). The Social Studies team (2016) and the Interdisciplinary team (2019) were state runner-up. The Science team (2014 & 2016) and the Fine Arts team (2018) also advanced to state competition.
 
Our academic team is open to all full-time students in grades ninth through 12th. Placement on a team is different for each discipline. The academic team competes at invitational meets before advancing to the area tournament. If successful at the area level and able to outscore the other teams in the state, the academic team is invited to the state competition.
